Sometimes I get emails asking me questions about certain things. I love hearing from my readers and I do my best to answer every email but I'll admit that I struggle with balancing everything that needs to be done in a day. Q: Do you sell your cookies?
A: With a full-time job and the Texas Cottage Food law prohibiting shipping I only take a few local orders from friends and family when I have time. My family time is valuable to me and comes first in my life. I enjoy the teaching aspect of my blog and as the blog has grown it has become challenging to find time to do anything else but work on it in my spare time. It is a labor of love.
Q: What is your sugar cookie recipe?
A: My sugar cookie recipe is not my recipe at all. I use SweetSugarBelle's recipe. Ever since the first time I tried it back in June of 2011 I was hooked and have used it ever since. The cookies are wonderfully light and moist. They are just perfect cookies and there's no chilling needed which is perfect for this lazy gal.
Q: What is your royal icing recipe?
A: My royal icing recipe is a variation of Ali Bee's royal icing recipe. If you are just starting out follow her recipe exactly. You can't go wrong. It is a great icing to work with. Over time I have adapted the recipe to my liking.
Q: What camera do you use?
A: I am currently using a Canon Rebel T3i for my photography. I have a post on my photography set-up with further information about lighting and such.
