Hi guys! Today I’ve got a quick post for you. I wanted to share the cookies I made for a friend who requested baby shower cookies.
The theme was a tribal shower for a little boy. She sent me a picture of the invitation and I used it as a guide for the set. I literally own over 1,000 cookie cutters and yet I still didn’t have the cutters I needed for the set. For the dreamcatchers I used an upside down ring cutter. Thanks to my best friend Kim for giving me that idea.
For the teepee I used a candy corn cutter from Sweet Sugarbelle’s new shape shifter set. Also from her set was her pencil/crayon cutter which I used for the arrow cookie. Her new line of cutters will be hitting local stores such as Michaels and JoAnn’s very soon so keep an eye out. I purchased my set from HSN but upon writing this post they are all out of stock. Check out her post which has a list of retailers currently carrying her line.
I also didn’t have a feather cutter so I used a football cutter and just trimmed one of the ends. I wish they were longer like a real feather but in a pinch it worked.
I hope you enjoyed seeing the set I made. It was such a cute theme for a baby shower and different that anything I’ve done before so I jumped at the chance to make them.
I’m slowly starting to fall back in love with cookie decorating so you should be seeing more from me soon. Stay sweet friends 🙂
