Plan with Me: Fall Theme

Hello there! My work life has been so stressful lately that I haven’t been doing any baking. I just want to veg out and watch TV when I get home from work and on my off days. I’ve been watching a lot of YouTube videos as well which is how I discovered my newest obsession — decorating my planner.

I’ve watched so many videos over the last couple months that I decided to take the plunge and try my hand at decorating my planner. I’ve done a total of four decorated spreads. This week was my fourth and it’s a fall theme to celebrate the first day of fall this Wednesday. I thought it would be a great time to try my hand at filming a plan with me video and share this new hobby of mine with you.

I’ve owned several planners in the past from basic academic planners to an Erin Condren and a Plum Paper. I recently went on a hunt for a Happy Planner at Hobby Lobby because it resembled an Erin Condren but at a way better price point. I finally tracked down the one I wanted thanks to my bestie Kim but quickly realized that the vertical layout was not working for me. I discovered that I may do better with a horizontal planner so I hit my local Staples and picked up an Erin Condren horizontal. I’ve been in love with it ever since.

I’ve been playing around with different looks until I find what I like best. Where I place things will change but one thing is for sure, I will always use washi tape and stickers in my planner. That I know I love.

Last week and this week I played around with using stamps from Sweet Stamp Shop. I like using them but it’s a bit time consuming. I really like the TV stamp but it’s a tad bit big and I’m having trouble with where I want to use it.

I’m expecting my first order of stickers from Etsy any day now so I look forward to using them in next week’s spread. I made my own stickers using my Cricut but they didn’t come out the best. It’s just easier to purchase from people that know what they’re doing.

In the pics above you’ll see that I’ve filled in what I could but I will be filling in more as the week progresses and I decide what needs to be done. Please excuse my handwriting. I used to write so much better before I developed wrist issues. I know it’s not horrible but I’m working on practicing my writing to build back the strength I’ve lost. If you’d like to keep up with my planner updates and see previous spreads be sure to follow my planner Instagram @honeybeeplans.

Thanks for stopping in today. I hope you enjoyed seeing my planner.

  2. LOVE it!!! So many tips and tricks! I need to remember that washi tape cutter. Such a clean cut to the tape and it made the process seem so much easier.
