Wicker Table Makeover with Chalk Paint

Today I’d like to share the wicker table makeover I completed recently.

My mother gave me this wicker table years ago. I had it sitting in the corner of my dining room as a place to hold knick knacks or serving dishes when we entertain. It was in need of a makeover as you can see.

It was the perfect project to use the Americana Decor Chalky Finish paints I recently purchased. I originally chose the color delicate which is a really lovely yellow color. It came out nice but I quickly realized that it wasn’t the look I was going for in the space.

No worries. The great thing about chalk paint is that it dries so quickly you can change the color practically right away. On to the color relic. A nice deep grey color. I was instantly in love. It was totally the look I was going for.

I finished up the table with some Annie Sloan clear wax that I had on hand from a previous project. I totally love the table and can’t wait to change out the decor for each season or holiday.

It’s just gorgeous but of course I’m biased. I’m telling you if you haven’t tried chalk paint yet you must. Take the plunge. You will love how easy it is to transform your pieces with little effort and prepping before hand. Oh and do you see that mason jar? The color delicate didn’t get totally neglected. It worked perfectly to transform it.

If you like this printable I made I’ll be sharing it with you later this week.

Thanks for stopping by. I hope you have a wonderful week. Don’t forget to drop by tomorrow night for the Party in Your PJs link party.
