I’ve got a card share for you today. It’s the birthday card that I made for my husband. Who says masculine cards can’t have sequins? Lol!
This was my first time trying watercoloring which is real hot right now in card making. I used Tim Holtz Distress ink which I smeared on a craft sheet and spritzed with water. Then I smooshed a piece of Tim Holtz distress watercolor cardstock in it. I kept dipping it in until I got the look I was happy with. I allowed it to dry completely before adhering it to the card base. It was a bit warped so I made sure to use a good amount of adhesive on it.
The idea of tying the balloon strings to the words came from this card by Jennifer McGuire. I really love learning from her. She’s such a talent.
The process of decorating cards is much like anything else that I do. I’m kind of a spontaneous decorator. I have a vision in mind but I don’t always follow it. I just start adding stuff until I’m happy with the result.
Thanks for stopping by today. Be sure to come back tomorrow at 7pm CST for the Party in Your PJs link party.
I hope to get in the kitchen soon. I’m due to share some recipes and decorated cookies with you. It’s been way too long.
