Father’s Day Card

Father’s Day is less than two weeks away. Today I’m sharing the card I made聽in hopes that you will feel inspired to make a card of your own.

I’ve become totally obsessed with making my own cards. When I say obsessed it’s not an exaggeration. I have bought so many inks and stamps it’s ridiculous. It reminds me of when I first discovered cookie decorating and went crazy buying all kinds of equipment. Lets hope my pocket book survives this newest hobby. Lol!

I made this card using a stamp set from Simon Says Stamp but if you don’t own stamp sets that are specific to an occasion you can always use a sentiment stamp. A simple I love you could absolutely work or even a shape like a heart or star and then hand write a sentiment.

You don’t need fancy equipment to make cards. Those of us that become obsessed with card making like all the bells and whistles but you could take inspiration from my card and have your kids make one using construction paper, washi tape and their own handwriting.

There’s such a great feeling when you deliver a card to someone that you made yourself. It’s made with love and it’s personal. I hope I’ve inspired you today.

Card details:

Stamp set: Simon Says Stamp

Papers: My Minds Eye Bright paper pack; American Crafts Everyday paper pack

Cardstock: Stampin’ Up Very Vanilla

Twine: American Crafts

Ink: Simon Says Stamp Dark Chocolate

Washi Tape: Freckled Fawn Heart Arrow

Dies: Lawn Fawn Circle Stackables, Lawn Fawn Stitched Journaling Card

I’ll be back tomorrow with more ideas for Father’s Day.
