With St. Patrick’s Day approaching I thought I’d show you a really easy and quick way to make leprechaun beard cookies. They’re so simple that you could get the kids involved in making them. Pair them with shamrocks and you’ll have a fun and festive platter for your party.
The idea for these cookies came from my Santa mustache & beard cookies. I used a six petal flower this time instead of an eight.
Leprechauns freak me out and this is a great way to not have to worry about faces. The cookies are so simple to make that a tutorial isn’t really needed but I snapped a couple pics anyway.
After you cut your flower shape from your dough you’ll take a sharp knife and cut off two petals straight across.
Bake the cookies and let cool completely before decorating. To make the orange icing I used Americolor orange and mixed in a little red and a small dab of chocolate brown.
To decorate outline and flood cookies. Then, allow them to dry completely.
Add the details and that’s it. So simple and quick.
Thanks for stopping by today. Hope you’re having a great week and adjusting to the time change.
Don’t forget that there is an active Inspiration Challenge going on. You have until the end of March to link up your projects.
If you follow my Slice of Life Sundays posts then you may have noticed that I’ve missed a couple. Sorry about that. I’ve been trying to let my shoulder and back rest. Every time I think that I’m feeling better I have a flare up again. I didn’t have too much to say and thought I’d spare y’all a Debbie downer post. Lol!
I was happy to get back in the kitchen with these cookies. I feel pretty rusty when it comes to decorating cookies so I have to start off easy and slow. I have four projects that I need to get done before I leave for vacation the first week of April. Send me some good vibes.

Thanks Marci! Good luck with TMNT. I hate characters. Just break them down into steps so you’re not overwhelmed by the whole thought of them.
