Slice of Life Sundays: 2-23-14

slice-of-life-sundays

Happy Sunday friends. Hope you had a great week. Mine went by super fast. Right now I’m up to my elbows in cleaning, going through junk mail and taxes. Dreaded taxes!!! Every year I say I’m going to get more organized and it doesn’t happen. I have receipts strewn all over the house. It’s a mess!

Yesterday I went to see my chiropractor. I always enjoy the muscle stimulation part of my visit. The electric currents massage the muscles and help them relax. It’s also good to help relieve swelling or so the doctor says. Ever since I refinished the table and chairs聽for my kitchen I just haven’t been quite the same. With continued treatment I’ll get back to where I was which was only needing to see the chiropractor once every month. Getting old sucks!

Speaking of getting old, I had something interesting and random happen to me this week. I stopped at a local hamburger chain to pick up something to eat and the girl working the drive-thru just randomly told me that I looked like I was eighteen. I asked her if she was serious and she said yes. Well when I told her how old I really was she couldn’t believe that I was a year older than her. Now I’m not going to tell you how old I really am but let’s just say that I’m on the last half of the 30’s. Lol! As random as this interaction was I will take compliments like that any day of the week. I think my husband has grown tired of me telling him his wife looks like she’s eighteen. Ha ha!

Let’s talk about dinners. If you follow my Slice of Life Sundays posts then you know that I recently started trying to make more home cooked meals and share the ones I try with you. Well I got a complete F this week on making dinners. We had takeout a couple times during the week but mostly we ate junk like hot dogs and Frito pie. Hanging head in shame. Sometimes you just get lazy. It’s all good. It’s not the end of the world. I’ll get back on track.

I have a lot of television watching to get caught up on. I was pretty occupied with the Olympics. Now that they’re over I can get back to my normal schedule. I did finish watching Sons of Anarchy. I’m ready for the new season to start. I won’t give any spoilers for those who are still trying to get caught up but I expected what happened on the last episode and I’m interested to see how it effects the start of season seven.

That’s all that’s been going on with me. Hoping we all have a productive week. Until next time.

  1. I am soooooo lucky that my husband takes care of all the taxes. And he does them in January!!!! I am a proud wife 馃檪 Congratulations on retaining your youthful beauty and there is really nothing like a random compliment from a stranger. I celebrate your basking in it.

  2. Great article.
