Happy Sunday friends. How was your Thanksgiving? Mine was great. Lots of good food and the company was great. I don’t want to see another piece of turkey or pumpkin pie for awhile. I was really bad but now it’s time to get back on my low carb diet.
We are officially in December and Christmas is fast approaching. Sadly I did not get around to making any Thanksgiving cookies. I’m already seeing Christmas cookies and I feel so far behind. It’s like the cookie decorating world is going as fast as the retail world. Before you know it we won’t see Halloween or Thanksgiving cookies anymore. It will be October and we’ll be seeing Christmas cookies. I try not to fall into the trap of what others are doing. I like to march to the beat of my own drum as much as possible. If I missed Thanksgiving cookies so be it. If I post Christmas cookies late in December then so be it.
As I’m writing this I’m working on my Inspiration Challenge cookies for December that are to be posted tomorrow. I’ve always been a procrastinator by nature and it seems that no matter how hard I try to get things done early it never happens. I’m also going to be doing a guest post this month and I have my cookies cut and ready to go but haven’t decorated them yet. I hope to get them done today also.
One thing about the holidays that bugs me is that my favorite shows get put on hold. I’m dying to see Scandal. The last episode ended in a cliff hanger and I must know what is going to happen. Same with Revenge and American Horror Story. I can’t wait until all my favorites are back.
Well these cookies aren’t going to make themselves so I better get back to it. I hope you have a great week. I’d love to hear what you’ve been up to. Are you working on Christmas cookies already? Did you get a lot of shopping done this weekend? I got a few gifts on Saturday but did not leave my house on Black Friday. Is there a show that you recommend to watch? Do you have some favorite recipes that are a must to try?
