Happy Sunday! I missed my post last Sunday because life just got hectic. I’m still dealing with my dog Pepper being sick. We opted to have an ultrasound done to see if we could find answers to what is going on with her. The ultrasound showed that she had a bladder stone. This may be the cause of her kidney problems. We have her on a new prescription food and in a month we’ll take her back for a follow-up.
I’m still dieting or should I say I’m still trying to diet. I have bad days. I’ve been exercising more regularly but I’ve been sidelined with a foot injury. Last Sunday we went to the Renaissance Festival and did a lot of walking. The place is huge. I was tired but felt fine. I had no obvious pains or signs that anything was wrong. The next day I woke up and could barely put weight on my foot. It’s continued to be like this all week. I have no idea what it is or why it happened. Every time I think I’m doing better it starts to act up again. I took a break from exercising for a few days to see if it heals. If it doesn’t I’ll have to go see a podiatrist.
Are you ready for Thanksgiving? I’m not. This year it falls on the week of our month end at work. We have to close our books on the day before Thanksgiving. Month end closes always leave me feeling mentally drained. The idea of having to make a full spread the next day is not appealing to me so we bought an already cooked smoked turkey to heat up and a small ham. I’ll make a few sides but nothing extravagant. What are you plans?
In TV land the finals of Dancing with the Stars is Monday. I’m rooting for Amber and Derrick. I’m always excited to see the free style dances. I’m totally obsessed with American Horror Story. I can’t believe Queenie took Delphine over to the voodoo lady. Then there’s the whole trio of Madison, Kyle and Zoe. I won’t describe it but it was shocking. I’m also obsessed with Dracula. Jonathan Rhys Meyers is hot! Hostages and The Blacklist are not disappointing. I love these shows. Oh and how could I forget about Scandal. This is probably my favorite show on TV. Then there’s Betrayal. It’s so wrong but so good.
