I can’t believe that another week has come to an end and it’s almost time to go back to work. Last night I got to meet eleven other cookie artists from here in the Houston area. It was a fantastic meet up. All the ladies were so lovely and charming. I tend to be on the shy side so it was great to get out of my comfort zone and do this. We are going to try to get together a couple times a year which will be really nice. It’s always nice to talk to people that get you and share the same interests as you.
We got our first cool front of the season. Whoo hooo! I’m so ready for fall weather. I love everything about fall. The clothes, the weather, the decor and most of all the TV programs. There are so many great shows on right now that my DVR is working overtime. I’m really loving Hostages (Dylan McDermott is divine) and The Black List (James Spader–enough said). Then there are my favorite shows Nashville, Grey’s Anatomy, Scandal, Revenge, The Voice and Dancing with the Stars. I’m probably missing some but this time of year is just the best for TV watching. American Horror Story and The Walking Dead are about to begin again. I’m so excited. I know you must think I’m sad that I watch so much TV but I just love entertainment.
Thursday afternoon I had to see the doctor and get an injection in my wrist. I had gotten to the point where I could barely lift things and grasping was rough too. My previous injection lasted a year so I’d say that it was successful. I hope this one lasts a year too. I’m supposed to be resting it for five days but the doc agreed to three. I’m typing this cautiously. I’m feeling so much better and my range of motion is almost 100% now. I have a cookie order coming up so I’m glad I got this nuisance taken care of.
In case you missed it, this week I chatted with Mike of Semi Sweet Designs on Sweet Talk. Also, Stephanie of Ellie’s Bites Decorated Cookies and I announced that our Inspiration Challenges are back. We got the first one started with the theme of Junk Food which you can see here. I shared a recipe for Halloween Trash. A snack that combines cereals with pretzels, nuts, M&M’s and candy corn. It’s a great combo of salty and sweet. Be sure to enter our giveaways. You have until Friday at midnight to do so.
Have a great week!
