This has been a crazy week for me. I signed up for OBC ’13 this year which is an online blog conference. The idea of attending a blogging conference without leaving the comfort of your home really appealed to me. The only problem is that I work full-time so I had to squeeze in time to read the posts during my lunch breaks and in the evenings. It’s been challenging to get all the posts read but the great thing is that I can go back and read them again whenever I want.
Along with the conference I also had an order for breast cancer cookies to complete. My friend requested a set for her friend that is celebrating a birthday but also still mourning the loss of her mother who passed away last year, in October, from breast cancer. She wanted a set of cookies that would celebrate her friend’s birthday but also honor her mother. I had creative freedom with this set and really like how it turned out. I especially love the angel wings with her mother’s name. You can find the cutter I used here. If you’d like to see how I write on cookies using a Kopykake there is a tutorial in the video tutorials section at the top of the page. The flower was inspired by tutorials from Sweet Sugarbelle and Ali Bee’s Bake Shop. I love when decorators make it easy for us.
Hope you’re having a great week. It’s almost the weekend!
