Peek-a-Boo Bunnies {Simply Sweet Saturdays}

I know St. Patrick’s Day is not here yet but I feel like it’s okay to get the ball rolling on Easter designs now. I think I did pretty good holding off until now. I love Easter and hope that I will be able to post several designs this year. As a blogger that has a full-time job it’s not always easy to get to all the ideas that I have planned. I’m excited that I got to do these peek-a-boo bunnies.
To make them you will need a bunny cutter and flower cutter of your choice. Try to find ones that are proportional in size.
Cut out a portion of the bunny with the flower cutter. Then, cut a flower and place it in the space you cut in the bunny. Bake as usual.
Outline the bunny and flower, in the colors of your choice, with piping consistency icing.
Next, with flood consistency icing fill in the bunny and flower and drop black candy beads in for the eyes. Allow to dry completely.
Now’s the part where I got a little lazy with the tutorial and forgot to take more pictures. So here’s what happened next.
Here’s my inspiration for the design.
I hope you’ll give these a try. You can keep them simple like I have done or go as crazy as you want with the details.
Now it’s your turn to share what you’ve been working on.
Rules:
1) Link up your recipes, sweet creations, crafts, DIY projects, etc.
2) This party is open to both bloggers and FB pages. Put the name of your project on your link and make sure your link goes directly to your blog post {permalink} or FB photo and not your homepage.
3) The reason for the party is to get to know other participants so be sure to visit as many pages as you can and leave them comments.
4) Have fun, spread the word and thanks for joining the party!
