Christmas Cookies

This set of Christmas cookies was made for a friend of mine to give to her co-workers. I was allowed to come up with whatever design I wanted and this is what I came up with. I was very pleased with how they turned out. I'll be busy with other projects so these will probably be my only Christmas designs this year. Some of my favorite cookiers have posted Christmas designs that I found to be so inspiring but I will not get to try them out. There's always next year. It's hard to see in the picture but I used Wilton's Color Mist Food Spray in pearl to give the snowflakes a shimmery look.

Happy Birthday Dad

Today is my father's birthday. He is a very big fan of Harry Potter so I wanted to surprise him by making cookies for him. He's probably the oldest Harry Potter fan out there. Lol! Just kidding.

Growing up I wasn't always the best kid and I'm sure I gave my parents some grief but now that I'm grown I can look back at all that my parents did for us and I truly appreciate them both. Dad I hope I made your day special. I love you!

A Very Special Anniversary

I'm a little late posting this but December 5th was my 2nd wedding anniversary. You might think this cake was for us but it was not. One of my best friends asked me to make a cake for her husband's grandparents who were celebrating their 63rd wedding anniversary. When I heard that their anniversary was also on December 5th I said yes I'll make them a cake. Her only request was that it have flowers on it. Overall, I was pleased with how the cake came out and they loved it. I love that I share an anniversary with a couple that have been together for 63 years.
